Forklift Technician

Job Description for Forklift Technician:

We are seeking a competent and safety-oriented Forklift Technician to become part of our warehouse or logistics team. The perfect candidate will be tasked with the operation of forklifts and additional warehouse machinery to efficiently and securely handle the loading, unloading, and transportation of materials.

Responsibilities for Forklift Technician:

• Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse or storage area
• Transfer cargo to and from trucks and various vehicles
• Arrange and categorize items systematically in their appropriate storage areas
• Conduct regular assessments on machinery and communicate any operational problems
• Verify that the cargo is firmly fastened and adheres to safety guidelines
• Maintain precise documentation of stock and deliveries
• Support with various tasks within the warehouse as required, such as selecting and packaging items
• Adhere to all safety protocols and organizational protocols

Requirements for Forklift Technician:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic math and inventory skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if required

Work Environment for Forklift Technician:

Forklift operators are commonly found in warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and open-air loading zones. Their responsibilities may include working in different temperature conditions and extended periods of standing or using equipment.
