Job Description for Cash Operations Clerk:

The Cash Operations Clerk is responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience. They provide excellent customer service, handle cash and electronic payments, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.

Responsibilities for Cash Operations Clerk:

• Provide quick, efficient, accurate and friendly service to all guests. Guest satisfaction is our Number 1 Priority!
• Carefully listen to guests food and beverage orders and record transactions in POS. Collect payment and make correct change for all sales.
• Prepare simple menu items following all NYC Department of Health guidelines
• Perform closing duties including cleaning up, product storage, and trash removal from assigned locations.
• Maintain a clean, neat and safe work area.
• Complete side work such as restocking and sanitizing, leaving work areas in good condition for the following shifts
• Verify I.D. on all customers ordering alcohol.
• Suggestively sell and up sell items.
• Interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers in order to ensure compliance with company service standards, company inventory and cash control procedures.
• Ability to perform arithmetic operation involving all United States monetary units (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Complete other duties assigned by supervisors/ managers

Qualifications for Cash Operations Clerk:

• The minimum age eligibility for applicants is 18 years
• The possession of a high school diploma or an equal credential is a fundamental necessity
• At least one year cashier experience experience in a high-volume facility preferred.
• Having precise attention to detail along with exceptional organization skills and proficient time management and prioritization abilities
• Meeting the health criteria established by the state and city ensures the proper handling of food and serving of alcoholic beverages
• Competency in managing multiple tasks concurrently in a team-focused, fast-moving setting
• Efficient communication with both supervisors and employees is a necessary attribute
• Expertise to perform tasks outdoors in various weather conditions or on a vessel that is constantly moving
• Capacity to lift and carry items weighing a maximum of 30 pounds while traversing stairs, ramps, or gangways
• Open to working extended hours to meet the demands of the business, which may involve late shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Satisfactory movement capability is crucial for performing specified production duties, which involve continual reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended durations
• Cultivate safe work habits, follow safety policies, procedures, and rules, participate in company-wide safety training, and obtain additional safety training specific to job requirements.

Physical demands for Cash Operations Clerk:

• Utilize hands to operate and handle controls.
