Job Description for Accountant:

The primary role of the Accountant involves accurately processing customer transactions to ensure a seamless and efficient checkout process. They offer outstanding customer service, handle both cash and electronic payments, and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the checkout area.

Responsibilities for Accountant:

• Serve all guests quickly, accurately, and in a friendly manner, making their satisfaction our highest priority
• Carefully document guests' food and beverage preferences in the POS system and complete transactions by accepting payments and returning the correct change for each sale.
• Formulate straightforward food options that align with the NYC Department of Health's guidelines for food safety
• Execute end-of-shift duties such as tidying, organizing products, and disposing of garbage in designated locations.
• Keep the work area clean, orderly, and safe to promote a productive environment.
• Carry out extra work such as restocking and sanitizing, leaving work areas in a suitable state for the following shifts
• Perform age verification for all customers ordering alcohol.
• Propose supplementary items that can elevate your purchase and add value to your selection.
• Interact with team members, supervisors, and managers to enforce compliance with the company's service standards, inventory procedures, and financial controls.
• Competence in conducting mathematical calculations with various denominations of U.S. currency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Execute other duties as instructed by supervisors or managers

Qualifications for Accountant:

• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year cashier experience experience in a high-volume facility preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and extremely organized with elevated time management and prioritizing skills
• Must meet state and city health requirements for food handling and alcoholic beverage service
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-orientated setting
• Must be able to effectively communicate with management and staff
• Ability to work in an open-air environment during all climate conditions and/or on a moving vessel
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds up and down stairs/ramps/gangways
• Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
• Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training.

Physical demands for Accountant:

• The employee will be expected to sit, talk, and listen consistently while performing the tasks associated with this position.
• Employ hands to manipulate and manage controls.
• The employee is often tasked with extending their hands and arms as necessary. They are also expected to be standing, walking, and bending during their work hours.
