Job Description for Checkout Coordinator:

The Checkout Coordinator plays a crucial role in processing customer transactions correctly and ensuring a seamless and effective checkout process. They deliver superb customer assistance, manage both cash and electronic payments, and uphold the tidiness and orderliness of the cashier's section.

Responsibilities for Checkout Coordinator:

• Deliver prompt, effective, precise, and amiable service to all patrons. Ensuring guest contentment is our topmost concern
• Attentively take note of guests' requests for food and beverages and input orders into the point of sale system. Handle transactions accurately and give back the correct change for all purchases.
• Create basic menu options in accordance with the health regulations set by the NYC Department of Health
• Carry out end-of-day responsibilities such as tidying up, storing items, and disposing of waste in designated areas.
• Ensure that the work area remains tidy, organized, and free from hazards.
• Finish additional tasks like replenishing supplies and cleaning to ensure work areas are well-prepared for the next shifts
• Check the identification of every customer who orders alcohol.
• Encourage customers to explore additional purchase options and consider complementary products.
• Collaborate with colleagues, superiors, and supervisors to guarantee adherence to the organization's service expectations, inventory regulations, and financial management protocols.
• Capability to carry out calculations with various denominations of American currency (plus, minus, times, and divide).
• Carry out additional tasks allocated by supervisors or managers

Qualifications for Checkout Coordinator:

• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year cashier experience experience in a high-volume facility preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and extremely organized with elevated time management and prioritizing skills
• Must meet state and city health requirements for food handling and alcoholic beverage service
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-orientated setting
• Must be able to effectively communicate with management and staff
• Ability to work in an open-air environment during all climate conditions and/or on a moving vessel
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds up and down stairs/ramps/gangways
• Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
• Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training.

Physical demands for Checkout Coordinator:

• During the course of this role, the employee must frequently engage in tasks such as sitting, speaking, and listening.
• Utilize hands to manipulate and operate controls.
• The staff often needs to extend their arms and hands. They must also be able to stand, move about, and bend down.
